• We advise that you move the location of the rug from time to time to ensure that it wears evenly. 
• It is fine to vacuum your rug, but use the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner and vacuum the rug in the direction of the hairs to prevent any unwanted hair loss. 
• If you prefer you can take your rug outside and shake it to remove any loose particles and dust.  This will also help to freshen your rug up.
• Any spillages on your rug should be removed as soon as possible to prevent staining.  We recommend soaking up the spillage with some absorbent kitchen towel, then gently wipe the cowhide rug with a damp cloth. 

It is not necessary to use any abrasive cleaners on your cowhide - simply use a mixture of soap and luke warm water to remove stains.
